November Giveaway - IKEA Holiday Treats!

I hope that all of you had a lovely Thanksgiving!
I am still stuffed, an entire day later.

A few weeks ago, my family and I made the trip to IKEA.
Have you ever been?
It is a huge Swedish design company that sells furniture, housewares, decor, and food.
My first trip to IKEA was in Germany.
I was in college, visiting a good friend when she brought me to this amazing place.
It was massive, unlike any store that I had ever seen.
We dined on Swedish meatballs and lingonberry drink at the cafe and wandered around the showroom and marketplace for hours.
I loved seeing all of the affordable decorating ideas for small spaces, and stuffed my suitcase with some fun treats for my dorm room.
When I returned home, my friend would send me IKEA catalogs and little trinkets.
But, I couldn't wait to get to go in person again.

It took a while, but happily an IKEA opened here about 5 years ago.
We now go once or twice a year to stock up on our favorite goodies.
I love going at this time of year because of the holiday decorations that they have ~
traditional, Scandinavian designs.
My father's side of the family is from Finland, and growing up most of our Christmas decorations were in the Scandinavian style ~ lots of red and white, gnomes, straw stars and goats, and woodland creatures.
Great memories.
I picked up some things to share with you!
Some sweet cookie cutters, cupcake liners, treat bags, labels,
wooden heart ornaments, and Santa ornaments.
To enter, just leave a comment below telling me what's on your wishlist this year.
I'll pick a random winner on November 29th.
Good luck and have a great weekend!

Edit: We have a winner!

I loved reading all of your comments and wishlists ~ I truly hope that all of your holiday wishes come true, especially those of health and happiness.

I love IKEA. We have one not too far from my house. This year I am wishing for nothing more than having my two sweet grand dogs back home where they belong and that all my family and friends are healthy. It's been a long year, filled with lots of sadness and I'm ready to put it all behind us.

I love IKEA, too. But I have to take an expensive ferry ride to get to one, so I don't go very often. Which is probably a good thing ...

I'm wishing for good family times together at Christmas.

I ♥ IKEA! It's such an adventure to browse through, plus the food is great!

My wish list always includes vintage lace, buttons, ribbon and all things lovely. I'll have to go get them for myself but that's okay!

I have never been to an IKEA, but so want to go. My DH passed away in April, so Christmas won't be the same, but it is still Jesus' birthday and that is the reason for the season. Peace and joy to all.

We have an IKEA about 10 minutes from my house. I love the lingonberry sauce and the meatballs. Buy them quite often. My mum passed away in June so it's going to be a hard christmas for everyone, especially my dad. My wishlist would be that everyone manages to get home for the holidays.

Hi Heather, Ikea is about 90 minutes from my house, but I have never been there. Did you go to the one on Rt 24 south of Boston?
Love your decorations!
Wishing for improved health in the new year.

We have an IKEA a bit over an hour from us so we only get there on the rare occasion. Trader Joes is about 5min from it so we make it into a big outing. :) My main wish this year is for my father to be doing better come Christmas.

Oh the joys of Ikea! I have not been in almost 9 months now. Probably won't get there until after Christmas since surgery so love seeing your visit with lots of amazing finds! I love it at Christmas because the holiday wrap section and ornaments always has me ohhhing and ahhhing! I am wishing for a speedy recovery this year. Nothing tangible or buyable so perfect for my family. Now they on the other hand... ;-) Thanks for a chance to win. I keep hoping you will host a swap after the holidays maybe? Wink Wink_I love them so! Have a great evening! :) Amy

We are anticipating IKEA opening here (Manitoba, Canada)in 2012 - the closest one to us right now is 13 hours away:(
On my wish list this year is for my mom to come off life support.

The nearest IKEA is 3 hours away and I've never managed to talk anyone in to making the trip with me...yet. I think I've got my youngest boy in training though.

My wish list is small this year. There are a couple of vintage perfumes I'd like to sample: Guerlain's 1889 Jicky and Lubin Black Jade, the perfume that Marie Antoinette wore. I always wear perfume while I create!

Our nearest IKEA store is 3 hours away. I have never been, but I did get a catalog sent to me. Looooove the quality of their products, and the prices can't be beat.

I have a Silhouette Cameo on my wish list this year.

We just had an IKEA open nearby, in south Denver! It was so fun to go there again! My wish list this year? A job! I really need to go back to work, and I'm hoping and praying for just the right job to come my way. Thank you for the chance to win this fun stuff! I love it!
